We use hot water extraction (HWE), often called “steam cleaning”. Which injects a hot, high pressure cleaning solution into the carpet then immediately extracted out along with dirt, allergens, the cleaning solution, and most of the moisture. It’s the cleaning method recommended by carpet manufacturers.
We also offer very low moisture (VLM) cleaning, using encapsulation and counter rotating brushes. A great solution for high-rises or large area rugs that you don't want removed from the property.
YES. The IICRC S100 recommends thorough vacuuming prior to cleaning to ensure the dirt is removed and not turned into mud. If deeper debris (like pet hair) is embedded, specialized agitation tools-- such as counter-rotating brushes-- are recommended for effective removal. If you are not able to vacuum ahead of time we can do it at an additional fee.
During service we recommend that you do keep your pet somewhere they will be comfortable — not all of our furry friends like the sound of vacuums or unfamiliar people in their space. Let us know how you'd like to handle your pet ahead of time to keep them safe and happy.
Yes, and there are several items we recommend not moving, such as: pianos, electronics, china cabinets, waterbeds, large beds, beds without wheels, dressers with mirrors, Just call or text us if you have a question 734-635-8851
The IICRC S100 defines spots as soils that rest on the fiber surface and can often be removed. Stains, however, are substances that have altered or dyed the fiber. According to the S100, while professional cleaning improves appearance, not all stains are correctable. There are substances that can permanently discolor or dye your carpet fibers and other more aggressive solutions may be needed.
